Game 22: Oklahoma State at #5 Houston (W 72-63)

Geez give up a wid. Open trey to end half

The whole team has to be at least somewhat tired. They’ve put a lot of mileage on the tires recently with two hard fought overtime games. Throw in the UCF game. Making up for what Sharp is unable to bring physically too.

WVU made a decent push in the 2nd half.

A lot of energy has been expended.

Looks like we’re finally walking up. Still pretty tired though.

What happens after we expend energy on a Saturday against y’all Iowa St then fly to Lubbock for that Monday night game, could be tough turn around

I know he hasn’t played much this year but Lath looks just as lost as last year. He gives absolutely nothing on offense and defensively is just not good. I rather go small lineup then have him wasting minutes. But I guess Jojos constant fouling has forced this

Yup. Never comes easy in this league. That’s for sure. The big Mondays are tough draws on the road because its nearly always a top opponent too.

Lath is eating up a few minutes and we need that tonight.

His help defeane was great few times when he was in. Once he was in perfect position and should of not been called a foul.

I usually say “win and I’ll be happy”

Even if we win tonight
I’m worried

Name of the game this week.

Survive and get healthy. Win both games by 1. I don’t care.

The halftime basketball game is classic.

This was the game last year where Kelvin rushed across the floor to scream at the refs for not calling offensive fouls on their big that was basically punching Jamal in the back of the head.

The way the officiating is going so far, we might see that again.

Worried. We are playing without Sharp and Francis. We are up 6 at half. This definitely not even close full strength. Sure other players are hurting as well. We will be fine

We’re banged up and it’s early February. We’ll get better as we heal. Stay the course.

We get Tugler back 2nd half. As long as we can hold ok st to their shooting averages we’ll be fine.

Half time thoughts: sumarry “trust the process”

i talked myself into not posting earlier
becuase the process to being good isn’t instant

Terrance looked horrendous to start, but we need him to play through it
and he is pushing though it, figurig out what works

lath is still not a good defender and doesnt yet paly to his strengths, but let him push through it

mercy getting minutes
 psuh through it

something feels off about tugler

cryer missed some early shots, but they are shots i know he can make

uzan was amazing
but wish he finishig with contact
to many acrobatic finishes, draw sone and 1s
 but legendary game so far

I’ll play devil’s advocate in a good way.

Okie State is kind of a weirdly sneaky matchup for you guys because they are a sloppy team with plus athleticism.

They struggle against teams that play a little more wide open with pace because they don’t have the skill to hang typically.

They aren’t “good” against Houston or really anyone in general. But their weaknesses are not really exposed as much with the heat it up and grind it out style CKS has y’all hanging your hat on. If they catch a few breaks they can hang around in that mess you impose on people.

They used to hang with ISU pretty consistently too for the same reason.

I just wasn’t expecting this close a game, even with the injuries.

I think Lath looks better than last year. Limited minutes so tough to get him going. His defensive positioning is much better.
