Edgecomb is a huge loss for them.
Roach was back last night vs TT.
Yes he was. Good catch. Missed a few b4 TxTech game…
Javier Francis will play on Saturday per CKS
I will wait for confirmation from our JF insider though.
I caught that too. That would be huge.
I think both TA and Tuggler are coming back.
As well as Ramon W if he takes a medical redshirt year
If we get those guys back…another great team.
Anyone counting on the Freshmen… fools gold.
No possibility of that happening. I dont buy that at all.
Langston Love is the Lance McCullers, Jr. of college basketball. So much potential but always hurt.
If Ramon doesn’t play by Monday I am thinking we are looking at getting Med RS and coming back for another season.
If TA left this season he would just be another guy. This is someone who can vastly improve his stock coming back and being the man for 35 min/gm.
Both returning would also give us one of the most experienced 1-4 starters in the nation. Then a very interesting battle for min off the bench.
After watching Colorado play last night in the first half (I didn’t watch the second half), I think Sampson can start people deep on the roster and still win by double digits.
Everyone on here who said Mercy is the answer, his minutes in conference have dropped significantly. Maybe he can help next year bring the new guys along.
Should have many FF runs in our future.
I was one that thought Mercy would be further along at this point of the season based on his early season showing. From what I’m seeing he still has a long ways to go on the defensive end and his offense looks way off.
Matter of fact, if Sampson had to use a bench player for defense I would rather he go with Jefferson before anyone else. That kid goes all out defensively and he’s gaining confidence on the offensive as well.
Moving forward I’m curious to see if Mercy can improve enough defensively to get more pt. I’ve seen signs of improvement at times but not to the level of earning more pt. Sampson absolutely laid into him for not being able to stay in front of his man in the OSU game. That certainly won’t lead to more pt.
Shead’s first 14 games, 140 minutes
Mercy’s first 14 games, 148 minutes.
While Jamal did get a triple-double against Lady of the Lake in his freshman season, he saw very little action in AAC play. The level of Big 12 play is considerably above what the AAC was
Mercy will be fine
Based on those numbers, Mercy will be 5.71% better than Shead when all is said and done. Can’t argue with math.
I think it is safe to say Miller will not play a significant role this year unless it’s in an emergency situation. That’s fine, let him sit and learn and his time in the rotation will come, just like the players ahead of him. Sampson knows what he wants and Miller needs more time to develop into the player that Sampson wants him to be.
