Let’s go Coogs! Please get a big lead so coach will put in subs
Give them playing time and let starters rest for Monday’s Kansas game
At least both are at Home
Then Baylor on the road for last game

If Coogs can win all 3 games, they will definitely get a #1 seed in big dance.

“UH is the new Kansas” will never stop being stupid. A team with one FF in 40 years and no National titles doesn’t replace a program with a natty in 2022 and two decades of dominance in
 Wait for it two years
It takes a very special kind of arrogant stupidity to think otherwise.

I know a lot of Coogfans suffer from an inferiority complex, but making stuff up isn’t the answer. Try therapy. Seriously.

If you know statistics, it takes 3 data points to make a trend line. So, come back next year. Just remember, if Kansas wins the Big12 next year, you’ll have to start all over again

I thought the context was within conference?

We are dominating this conference like Kansas used to. Within the Big 12, we very possibly could be the new KU.

31-4 since joining.

Totally understand your viewpoint but data points do exist among both the AAC and Big 12. They have 6 conference titles in the past 7 years with the 2021 title eluding them because they played less games (Covid) than Wichita St.

Nobody has more regular season titles in this 7 year span. Gonzaga is is a very close second but they just finished 2nd their second straight year.

It’s not KU, but it is dominant
and even more impressive during NIL/portal era.

“It takes 3 points to make a trend line” is false. I’m a math major, have taught statistics, and now I apply it in the real world in a corporate setting. It only takes 2 to make a trend line. Generally speaking, a 3rd point does make the trend more concrete and reliable, but isn’t necessary to make a trend line. Just wanted to clarify since you were clearly talking down to the other poster with your “If you know statistics” retort. No need to try insult or belittle others. With all that being said, I do appreciate the content of your argument (not the delivery) that a history of excellence can’t be overtaken by two years.

“Anecdote” is the grammatical singular form of “Data.”

The game against Cincinnati has officially become a trap game. This matchup now means everything to Cincy—it’s their last chance to boost their tournament rĂ©sumĂ©. A win at Houston would put them on the bubble, and with two remaining games where they’ll be favored, they could position themselves well. Add a win in the conference tournament, and they’re likely on the right side of the bubble.

For Cincinnati, this is a season-defining moment. They have everything to play for, while for us, this game is essentially meaningless. In reality, we might even use it as a final opportunity to fine-tune our bench.

For Cincy, the stakes couldn’t be higher—this game could shape the next 3-4 years of their program. The fanbase has already turned on the coach, and there’s a looming risk of the roster imploding.

A win would make them a likely tournament team, stabilizing their young roster and giving their coach, who has improved each year, a major breakthrough in his fourth season. It would also motivate players to stay and provide recruiting momentum, even if some players leave.

A loss, however, would be devastating. Their tournament hopes would be dead, the team would be viewed as a failure, and the fanbase would abandon ship. Recruiting would become significantly harder, as Miller would be seen as a lame-duck coach heading toward an inevitable firing. That would likely force the program into yet another rebuild.
