Game 30: Baylor @ #7 Houston (W 77-64)

Maybe Jo would be better coming off the bench? He has won all but six tips the whole year.
Still have to figure how to get him more mins in the first half.

Senior night and last game to see Flemings at home in a Houston uniform

Last time to see sharp, Milos, Kingston, Ramon, sahko, and cenac. Add in maybe Tugler.

Next year is just going to be weird.

Yeah, Walker and Sharp are the last of the group of old timers

Next year will be weird. Sampson is going to have to work some sales magic to keep from getting caught young again. He might have to bring in four upperclassmen. Do we have room for that many?

Maybe this was his concern on the nil thing

Thus the “poor” comments.

We have the numbers as this season we only offered 14 scholarships and never used the last spot on the team…

Open 25-26 spot x1
Signed freshmen x3
Senior losses x4 (Sharp, Milos, Walker, Sahko)

Baylor is coming with everything they have to beat us. will the refs help them or be neutral?

Does anybody know what time the senior festivities will start?

We definitely lose Sharp, Uzan, Walker, and Sakho. I will say we also lose Flemings and Cenac, because I’d be shocked if either stayed. It’s possible that Jojo will also be gone. That’s 6 open ships and maybe 7, plus the one we didn’t give last year.

I’m assuming that Harwell, Miller, McCarty, Lath, McFarland, Jefferson, and Jackson will all be back. Add recruits Diane and Alozie and that’s 9, if Jojo returns it’s 10. We have 5 or 6 slots left to fill.

Starting with the 2025-2026 season , NCAA Division I men’s basketball teams will be allowed to offer up to 15 scholarships . This new cap allows coaches the flexibility to distribute these scholarships as full or partial awards, depending on their recruiting strategies.

Can someone remind me… Was Uzan running the offense more against CO? Is that what allowed him to go off the way he did? Or is CO just not that physical lol?

@Coogariano he had some ankle injuries that were bothering him

Defensively, Colorado was pretty soft. (Compared to our last 3 opponents)

But in terms of quicker decisions, Milos was much better.

If he had space, he was either shooting it or attacking. Which in past games, he’d dribble it back out & reset

This game will start at the start. That means we can’t sleepwalk for the first 20 minutes and expect to win.

We ALWAYS play aqainst 8 guys. It doesn’t matter where.

It is a wonder Uzan doesn’t have a pulled hamstring already. The trainers are probably watching him pretty close.

Just another typical CKS year, lose a bunch and replace them with transfers and younger players moving up. It seems to have been working so far.
