Game 34: #2 Arizona vs #5 Houston (L 74-79)

This.

I don’t have faith in Jojo…too many mental mistakes and no situational awareness under the basket.

I’d like to see a repeat of last night where Cenac was definitely a contributor, but I’d also like to see Uzan and/or Sharp make their presence known offensively.

Championship Attire. LFG!

I like our chances if we can stay out of foul trouble (sky is blue statement i know). This is a big emotional let down spot tonight for them after our guys cruised most of the night. Would love to humble the wild cats.

Last two NCAA tournament champions have also won their conference tournament. However if you zoom out the last 10, 4 have won and 6 have lost their conference tournament. Not sure what to pull from this, probably nothing. Go Coogs anyways!

Edit: if you look at the Championship Game it appears that in the last 10 years, 10 have won and 10 have lost their conference championship game. So really, I guess it doesn’t mean a lot…still nice to win though

Will McCarty play? He came back in at the end of the game last night and he was clearly still hurting. He tried dribbling with his left hand and quickly switched back to his right favoring his left wrist.

“Houston remains one of the only 2-seed teams which could still hypothetically reach the 1-seed line with a Big 12 title and help from those above. Their spot in bracketology will ultimately come down to Florida and UConn down the stretch.“

Is this a pipe dream? From an article published two hours ago.

Is 5 PM late enough for Ramadan to end? I’m thinking about Sakho. No food or water until the end of the daytime. I hope he does well.I’m just wishing for the game to start later.

For those of you wondering, because I did, nutritional/fluid IV’s in Ramadan would break the fast, thus, not an option.

Thank you. Sad to hear though.

Exceptions exist:

  • Sick individuals who need water for medical reasons are exempt and may break their fast. They can make up the missed days later.
  • Pregnant or nursing women , travelers, and those with certain health conditions may also be exempt.
  • Accidental drinking (e.g., forgetting you’re fasting) does not invalidate the fast. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “If someone forgets and eats or drinks, let him complete his fast, for it was Allah who provided him with food and drink.”

I found it very odd that he came back in up by twenty with two minutes left.

You must be a riot at parties, smarty pants.

yea since the last time the committee was still caring about conference tourneys that much was 2021 but it’s probable we end up in the south either way

It seems like most knowledgeable people concede that the Big XII is the best basketball conference this season. A majority of the prognosticators are saying that three of the four number one seeds for the NCAA tournament are already locked in, with the fourth spot going to Florida or Connecticut. So, what happens if UH beats Arizona like a drum the way we beat Kansas last night. How could Arizona then be a number one seed over UH?

The eye test. How long have you been watching the coogs? You should know this by now.
