Zona is just short one really hotshot PG from being NC material IMO. Of course I’m not a guru. It just seems that the teams that win conferences and go deep in the tourney have a hotshot PG.
Caleb is a real joy to watch. I hope he ends up with the Rockets one day.
Coaches love when guys ask them what they think their tourney seed will be.
Their PG is their best player-- Caleb Love.
He was big part of UNC going to Natl Ship game couple of yrs ago.
Love is really a shooting guard. He’s not so much a deal-n-dish
Sometimes he is!
Hes absolutely their most important player. He really dictates how well they do.
Problem is their 3 guards? Love shoots a very streaky 32%. Not good
Bradley? Like 27ish%…ouch.
Lewis is like 17% lol.
** haven’t looked up exact #s in a little while but its close
Tough in the modern game. 20 years ago u can win it all like that…Today? Nope. U just cant. 0 chance.
We’ll disagree on that one Funk. Yes, he can play off the ball but his Primary role at UNC & UA has been as a PG. He brings the ball up & is a distributor. But again maybe u look at it different, but i don’t see anyone else on UA who comes close to handling the ball like CL does.
Neither of them are very true PGs. 2 combo guards id say.
If love is a PG hes a scoring PG, shoot first PG, for sure. Certainly not a facilitator looking to make others better first.
I will agree he was more of a PG at UNC. but a scoring PG.
We can debate the best player part always, just like we can for the Coogs. I was responding more on " that he is Primarily a PG as his position on the court.
That’s my point. Caleb is at his best driving either in transition or off the ball. He plays much bigger than 6-4. But AZ won’t win a NC with him running point.
Is he not the main person w the ball usually when he’s in the game?
Ya id say ur more right than wrong. Hes technically a PG more than a SG. just not a a very team oriented one.
Hes a classic high volume chucker and ball stopper (in a bad way lol)
I think we’re debating two different things. Caleb does have the ball mostly but I think his forte is open court, behind the arc, etc.
Either way he’s probably gonna have a good career playing guard in the NBA.
Im going to call Uzan a shooting guard.
Why! I said hes a PG!
Again I’m using Arizona as the example here n who handles the ball. Whether he passes or takes 35 shots is btw him & Mr Lloyd
