My nephew (and niece) both went to SIU-Edwardsville. He graduated from there.and the family still lives there. Nice enough town - but it’s really not much different from Sugar Land (maybe a bit smaller). Think of the game as UH playing UH-Sugar Land.
Tony Barone’s son coaches there. He was quite the character when he coached at Texas A&M.

I’ve watched SIUE twice this year.
They are actually probably the best defensive team of the low major bottom seeds by quite a bit. Still, that’s only 160th in KenPom.
They want to shorten the game, take care of the ball, lean on their defense and score efficiently in the half court. They are 261st in AdjT and 255th in offense. We’ll throw in that they are 7-8 away from home and they’ve played a bottom 20 SOS in every metric.
Might be the worst formula possible for a low major to give the Coogs any problems.
