I hope you aren’t serious. We won against many obstacles. Great win and now we play a team that has been ranked No.1 at some point this year.
So proud of this team and no matter what we know they will play their hearts out tomorrow.
Hopefully we get to hang around to see the Coogs cut the nets down!

Tennessee could have been given a 1 seed and I doubt there would be too many complaints. They are a very dangerous team and I am sure that CKS will have our guys ready for the challenge.

  • Tennessee vs. Houston over/under: 123.5 points

I’ll take those odds

Seeing the SEC arrogance in comments. No respect for our record or players abilities. Predicting ten to twenty point wins. But if the put their money where mouth is, the line would move

I don’t think anyone is arguing against this idea. I think people have a hard time with the SEC plot armor nonsense. Just because you played in the SEC does not make you invulnerable to a team that didn’t. It’s the Elite 8. Any team at this point is good enough to win the whole thing. It’s just funny the SEC fan boys running with this narrative that is going to eventually bite them in the behind.

Not only that, the Texans fighting Santa Anna were simply proud Mexicans in revolt against an autocrat

Let’s see Mike….the SEC and Big 12 both have exactly 28.5% of their teams remaining….id say it’s pretty close.

I don’t think the SEC deserved 14 teams in, that was ridiculous….and we know the Big 12 should have had one more.

I feel like we are the underdogs regardless of the line. The SEC is trying to buy college basketball with all their NIL and TV money. A small school from Houston Texas is standing in the way of the all powerful big shots from the SEC. Let’s win this one for Malik!

I totally get your point……but just because we played a subpar game doesn’t mean we aren’t still the Junk Yard Dog.

We definitely need to play well. I’m not sure we need an A+ game, which implies playing about the best game you can play. I see we’re as much as a 4.5 favorite with some outlets; there’s a reason for that.

We’re not a ā€œsmall school.ā€ Rice is a small school. We’re P4 and the 22nd largest university in the country.

I am so sick of the SEC… I now root against them in any sport they are playing.

WVU should have clearly been in before Texas (or UNC from the ACC.)

When 87.5% of one conference makes the NCAA Tournament, that’s too many.

I don’t think any conference ever deserves 14 teams in the dance. I think it should be no more than the top half of the conference.
