Anybody know if they plan to have any pre game festivities? Planning on taking the family so seeing if its worth arriving early
Eddie has plans that weekend so probably notā¦
Why? To follow a by then 15 game losing streak? Nobody cares about the Astros this year.
I do.
Man at the ut game me and my bro just sat on a tailgate and drank some brews, always show up early
There will always be cougars
4 hours of my degree from UH came from a summer class at SFA before I transferred here. I wonder who Iāll root for on Thursdayā¦
Similarly, I spent the Spring semester my sophomore year up at SFA (living with a friend) to pick up a relatively easy 21 credit hours to be applied toward my UH BBA in Accounting.
I have not seen anywhere an explanation of why Zion Chriss added Gremillion to his last name. Background please.
Also likely very vanilla on both sides of the ball
Iāve seen quite a few highlights of Conner Weigman beating our defense on some excellent deep throws. I expect our offensive line to open up a nice running game against SFA and with Weigman having not only solid receiving threats but also a couple of Tight Ends and running backs that can cause you issues too I expect this to be too much for SFA to handle. Add in a couple of nice plays on special teams and Iām thinking this game could get out of hand in the 2nd half. 45-14. Zeon Chriss comes in as relief and looks good too
I pass by SFA frequently on my way from Arkansas to Houston. I wonder who Iām rooting for?
Im calling it, its week 1 lets go. Lids on fire this week, every week. (Insert peach bowl halftime speech, they dont give trophies for winning at halftime)
āWhose gonna carry those māf boatsā? Whose gonna pick that torch up? This team feared no one. 10-year anniversary. Youāre 0-0 every week despite how many trophies you lifted last year, how many heart breaks.
Its time!
I was there in the OU section, screaming for the COOGS. It bugged the OU fans but they were still polite. We had the bigger audience and they knew it.
Funny this should come up. I just got away from the āBlueā discussion about TT. Because my SO had to work the day of the OU game, I invited a friend who graduated from TT. Obnoxious little snot but he enjoyed football, and this game in particular. We spent yesterday Friday night with his SO. He passed a couple of years ago, and we spent quite some time discussing him. We miss him, but auto immune disease and covid took him from us.
I interrupt this football talk to talk about futbol. Womenās soccer crushed the Longhorns tonight 4-1. After going down 1-0 the Coogs scored 4 unanswered goals to beat UT for the first time since 2000.
Anytime the Coogs beat the Longhorns, itās a great day.
Go Coogs!
Now back to football talk.
Discussion and photos of volleyball, womenās soccer, and beach volleyball are always welcome.
Crushing the Whorns, no matter the sport, is ALWAYS good news!!!
IāM SO READY!!! This week is going to take forever. Iām actually ok with the Thursday game considering how impatient Iām feeling
