Game Week Thread! Houston Cougars vs Oklahoma Sooners

The situation with Directv is worse than that. They are in negotiation with Disney who owns ESPN and all the rest of the ESPN’s including the SEC network, and KTRK-TV (channel 13) and several other non-sports channels. I am about out of patience with Directv. It is expensive and not providing ‘critical services’ during football season.

I am not as mad with driectv as much I am with Disney. They are losing alot of money on Disney+ and I guess ESPN+ must not be raking in the money they expected for them to keep going at tv providers asking for more money that in return raises customer bills. Disney has lost Millions of dollars over last couple years and they are scrounging. In the end this situation hurts disney. Anyone who has DirectTv satelite, DirectTv Stream, or Unverse cant get ESPN, ABC, and all other Disney channels cannot watch, so that means overall less viewers that advetisers are paying big amounts to have on Disneys channels.

I checked the ESPN+ schedule in my app and it is NOT slated to show. However, I’ve seen that on multiple occasions and still been able to stream.

Edit: now that I think about it, I think it’s because I used my DIRECTV sign in as well…we may be SOL.

You have to use your directTV sign in to watch main ESPN tv channels on the ESPN app

In an area where DirecTV is my only option other than Dish but the people I bought from had the DTv equipment already.

No local ABC ( Los Angeles )
No ESPN
No National Geo

As an old guy I’m left with only the weather channel.

Subscribe to YouTube TV for $80 per month and split it across 5 people for $16.

You get all ESPN channels except ESPN+, FS1, CBS Sports, etc to watch UH football and basketball.

And if you are out of the country, then you can use a VPN hack.

love that look

Yeah, that’s what I did. I had Xfinity for years, but the price just got ridiculous, and the service sucked. Internet would go down practically every day. I got YouTube TV and Earthlink internet. I get about as many channels as I had, and the internet hardly ever goes down.
