GAMEDAY: Houston vs. #17 Kansas State (W 24-19)

I feel that this game is essentially the accumulation of everything good and bad with the season.

This is the game where we know what this team’s identity is, and it’s against a ranked opponent that will give us a true test of our ability.

It’s the 3rd game where Zeon will hopefully play the entire game.

Let’s go Coogs.

Beat Kansas State

Surely we can play better than last year. Dana set the bar really low for KState

Gang,

I’m guess that if UH wins this game…it’ll be an upset of big enough magnitude to drop Kansas State out of the Top 25.

Eh?

Certainly

We must score in the 3rd quarter

If we beat Kansas State, then they will have to win out to make a championship run given their last game is against Iowa State.

Iowa State has a tough stretch of games coming up (Kansas, Cincy, Utah and Iowa State) - if they lose even just 2 of those games, it’s over.

Same with Kansas State - if they lose 2 games it’s over.

Luckily UH has 2 games left against the top of the charts (Kansas State & BYU).

If UH can remain undefeated, there’s a good chance we can punch a ticket to the championship game

Championship game? We have yet to put two good games in a row. Let’s do that first.

and the forecast of rain may make the turnovers a better possibility.

This is one of those games where being competitive would be a good step forward. The defense will have to play lights out, as usual. Kansas State is a very solid team, and they will take advantage of any mistakes or lapses by their opponent. Let’s hope the Cougars rise to the occasion and give a great effort.

Omg we aren’t winning out good lord we play like crap on the road mostly and BYU is big and physical and will probably embarrass us up there

Not sure we can do much worse than last year. That game was Mike Tyson vs the smallest Kindergartner at your local elementary.

If we can keep it somewhere around 28-14 I’ll be ecstatic.

BYU beat OKState by a field goal, and OKState hasn’t won a single game in B12

Tomorrow’s game is going to be a culture game.

Many here seem think we will get blown out. I
sure hope not.

That being said, if we somehow pull out with the upset, it will hands down be a mark for the program as well as a message to the world that Willie Fritz is serious. It will get major attention.

This season has been up and down, but I think Zeon is getting more comfortable in what will be his 3rd game playing as a starter, and hopefully, his 2nd game where he plays the entire match. Let’s not forget, he got hurt against TCU and only played 2 drives against Kansas.

If Zeon and the OC can establish a gameplan, then I truly believe we can have a chance. We have to stop this run, run, pass scheme that we have been running nonstop.

There is still a route to the championship game for UH (granted, it requires some hiccups with the top 3-4 teams). This season isn’t over. I hope that alone motivates are guys to play as hard as we can at home.

If UH wins against K State, it will be the signature win of Fritz’s short UH career. More importantly, it keeps the momentum going to finish the season after the big win against Utah.

UH is not likely to win the B12, but they do not have to to have a successful season. In fact, if UH wins out, that will exceed most people’s expectation and could set up a great recruiting season.

I think we came out shirtless during warmups. Hopefully, they come out in Major/Ed style coats

Seeing that our passing game is weak, they load up the box and shut down our running game, hopefully we can slow them down or it will be a long day
