Gameday Thread: Navy at Houston

Garret Davis better stay

Agree. Our inconsistency is maddening. I just don’t understand how we can lose to Tulsa and Tulane yet beat USF and likely Navy. We also should have beaten Memphis. Major has to figure that out next year.

We play better fast and open. That three play offense sucked

I see our snaps have improved

So lucky to have him another year

So are we going to credit Applewhite for outcoaching Niumatalolo today? Because he did.

That should do it. Protect the ball and ballgame.

Credit where credit is due. He was schooled last week but did the schooling today.

Punting there with Navy’s offense is waving the white flag. With their offense, you gotta take your chances on 4th down there.

Congrats to Bonner and Dunbar

  • Conference Championship win
  • Peach Bowl win
  • Win over #3 OU
  • Bowl elgible every season

not a bad college football experience

Sure… So he’s inconsistent at best. Great win today (assuming we close it out) which makes me wonder why he can’t get the team to play well vs below .500 teams (3 of our 4 losses)

H Nooo

I think this team is a lot like Memphis was last year, it was Matt Norvell’s first year and they were inconsistent which is why they were 8-5. And this year it looks like Norvell and his staff have really figured out how to put it all together and win games

That’s what we all want to believe

Unbelievable. Another crap punt. Wow

CRossed the yeller stripe, 1st down!

There’s a part of me that wonders if that might have more to do with the circumstances of the game. We were Tulsa’s homecoming game, and we played Tulane on Senior Day in a game that kept bowl eligibility on the table for them. Weird stuff tends to happen under those conditions.

Also worth noting – Tulane and Tech could still finish over .500

Didn’t expct Ed to do that… frustrated from low and chop blocks?

The best thing we have going for us is that we have a definitive quarterback now. We don’t have to enter the season with so many question marks. We can HOPEFULLY… HOPEFULLY establish a playbook around Deriq King. We also have 2 more duel threats right behind him.

What really hurts us is having 3 different styles of quarterbacks fighting for the starting position this year
