After their outrageous treatment of UH during “expansion” talks, I will never root for that conference.
The only reason they have us on the schedule, is they scheduled us earlier, before we began to win again, when they thought we would be easy pickings.

Recruiting. Being able to be on ESPNNews during the playoff game will get him noticed by recruits and increase his profile.
Networking. This will allow him to talk to other head coaches and hopefully expand his network as well as allow him to hopefully pick their brains.

Great exposure for UH. CMA was the only non-P5 coach involved considering Bielima(?) is currently unemployed.
