Get A Dog

Good article. With my very active Doberman that I got from the Humane Society, a lot of what this article is true for me. A plus, my wife feels quite secure at home when I’m not around

You should stop spanking her.

I am a firm believer in adopting rescue dogs. My puggle was a baby I rescued from the Bastrop fires, years ago. She is still romping around, even though she is a senior citizen in dog years.

I will stick with my cat instead.

You take it on walks?

Yes, why?

Did you know a doberman won the dog show this year ? very cool imo, as so often those little toy dogs win; which I do not consider dogs.

Fyi, for those not sure about getting a dog or a certain breed; you can rent a dog. Kind of expensive, like over $100 a day; but beats getting one and finding out its not for you.

We have a female Black Lab / German Shepherd mix. She is 76 pounds and thinks she is a lap dog. Very loving, high energy and loyal. This mix is a great dog. Ours was a missed spade opportunity (female was due to get fixed but Daddy got there first) and we love her so much. If you want a large dog the Black Lab / German Shepherd mix is a great choice.

Yes, her name was Penny. If our dog hadn’t been butchered as a puppy, she would have been a carbon copy of her.

We like them both at our house…

The nation’s dogs are much safer today.

Guess that means I can keep sitting near you at games.

Cats do 3 things and I bet you know all 3

If you treat a cat like a dog, they are great. Have a rescue that my son trained
Will sit
Shake
Does a spin and sits when I hold a treat and rotate my hand.
Plays fetch with a catnip mouse
When he is bothering me, I just tell him in a stern voice to go lay down and he does.

Best dog I ever had was a 80% Rottie and 20% Dobie mix. 110 lbs of all muscle. Smartest and sweetest dog ever. And very protective, especially around little children.

Wish I had room for another!

Not too close…

I only have the 5th best seat in the house.

Probably do, but mine can do a lot more than 3, which 3 were you referring to?
