Short-lived glory days our program has had, also sporadic & unsustained, it seems 
As a newer Coog, I’m hoping to get to experience these “glory days” in Football.
2015 was just 1 season that one came outta nowhere, and withered too quickly to be considered the “glory days” imo.

I love Keenum and Ward but the SWC was a different level than the CUSA or AAC.

So do I. We are in a unique position to Nationally dominate before the p2’s put their foot down. I have mentioned it before. The BIG12 is the perfect conference to have U of H to become the new Clemson. We have so much local “untapped” resources that the sky is indeed the limit.

It’s definitely unique, with its own set of achievements, setbacks & challenges.
Also, as a non-Houstonian Texan, I see lots of developmental, Architectural and demographic parallels with this City as it continues to evolve throughout the years, as one would expect.
Ah, yes…I’m familiar with the lore & history behind the power & influence ATX U. has had in directly/indirectly shaping our history.
That doesn’t change the fact that our success in Football has been sporadic & rarely sustained, especially after the Late 80’s - early 90’s.
…and hopefully you know who was mostly behind our downfalls starting shortly after we were admitted in the SWC and…winning the same power conference SWC in our first season.

Yes they played a critical, integral part of why we ended up with probation and getting dumped into these two non power conferences.
What matters today is we have a leader into HCWF that can actually take us to the very top.

2008-2015 we had a pretty good run…
Actually, 2008 - the Army blowout game we were consistently bowling…
When you consider we actually went 0-11 one season… those are glorious years.

I guess thats the benefit of being around a bit longer. Big memories to me were beating the Giggies in CS at then end of the game (65 or 66 ish) UCLA beat down in the dome, 2 day game in the dome, the 20 - 20 game in Austin, first year in SWC and so, so many more great games. Not gonna mention basketball. Glory days of old . . . . .
