And then there is Ryder Cup Fleetwood. Career record of 7-1-2. I still have nightmares of him and Molinari in ‘19.

An 85-year-old is playing golf with the course pro, who offers him a 12-stroke handicap.
“I don’t need a handicap,” says the elderly man.
“The only problem I have is getting out of sand traps.”
As they approach the 18th hole, they’re even. But then the old man hits a long drive, which lands in a sand trap.
From there, he knocks it out, and it rolls right into the hole.
The pro is stunned. “I thought you said you have a problem getting out of sand traps.”
“I do,” says the octogenarian. “Give me a hand.”

the 2026 waste mgt phoenix open hole planners are idiots. their signature hole has a stadium arena, thousands of fans buy tickets, the broadcasters broadcast from the hole, it is all primed up and what do the whole planners do ? make their holes on saturday and sunday hard to birdie or ace. this is one of the few holes to not miss on the tour all year, make it easy for fireworks for the tour, but no; the pga hole planners likely have sticks up their buts that they make no hole easy or it compromises the entire tour.
Oof ! Matsuyama lost over 700k in 15 minutes today in the WN phoenix open. he lead all day sunday by one, was in the last group and only had to par 18 to win, he bogeyed it, then hit off the tee into the water in the first playoff hole; ouch.
I wonder how much NIL money Charlie Woods got for signing with Florida State?
