We could bring Sumlin in as HC and “promote” Dana to OC. Things were good with that combo.
Perhaps CDH is being to loyal to his assistants.
If I recall the same was true during Briles tenure here.
I honestly think the alcohol stuff is completely overblown and just being used by angry fans to further justify their hatred of Dana. Look I don’t think he is a good coach but I seriously doubt the alcohol thing is as bad as some fans are trying to claim.
I think the game has simply passed Dana by, he was mediocre most of his career at WVU and that has continued at UH where he has even less resources than he did at WVU. As much as I want Dana to succeed I just don’t see it happening.

That the alcohol issue is overblown.
He is the same creative guy he always has been. Alcohol is smothering it.
He is important and we should help him through the problem.
Trust me when I say alcohol is playing no factor in anything with Dana. I know someone close enough to the program to be confident that his struggles have nothing to do with alcohol.
Ok this comment was simple two many too much. We need to find another topic to discuss or we will devolve too much into nothing between the two of us.
The extension was fine. It’s the enormous buyout that shouldn’t have happened.
