Houston Astros Baseball & MLB Discussions

I tore my left bicep and thought I’d ruptured a tendon. I let it go two weeks. Went to Argentina for biz and the bicep ached the whole time. Half the muscle was hanging down.

Ended up not having surgery. The torn part gradually reconnected but my left arm looks weird when I lift. Torn muscles are bad business.

Love watching the DFW gang celebrating when they got the lead. If Harris county arrested everyone in Rangers gear after the game it wouldn’t have bothered me. (There is some case law supporting doing that.)

Funk- what was the percentage of Rangers fans there? Sounded like they had a decent contingent.

Its hard to tell because they’re quiet as church mice until something happens then they’re screaming like the Boxer Rebellion. I’m gonna say around 15%. I was sitting down the 3rd base line near the foul pole. There were probably 20 within eyesight, which is a lot in our company section. The only team I have seen sit more in our stadium are the Cubs.

(And those MFers are rowdy from the National Anthem onward)

Tough loss today. Eovaldi was on fire.

Eovaldi is usually good against us except for that relief appearence in the 2021 ALCS.

Looks like the Rays just got sold.

More than I would’ve liked…

The Rays sold for 1.7 billion. About 500 million more than they estimated to be worth. Makes me think the Stros would be worth about 3.5 billion on the open market. Pretty good investment for Jim Crane.

Always a huge profit when they sell.

It’s why I call BS on cheap ownership when they run bare bottom payroll and claim they have no cash……even if they lost millions every year….when they sell, they more than make up for it.

Great point……Country strong.

Were genuine contenders

What a crazy thing to say this year

I thought we would compete for the division….but that was as much a statement about the strength of the division as the strength of the team.

With these crazy injuries….being within 5-6 games of the lead would be huge……to be leading by that much?

I’m astonished…and grateful.
My favorite time of the year is October baseball. The Astros making the playoffs puts the magic in it. I’m crossing my finger for a Javier and Jordan return.

That franchise deserves better than Tampa.

Jordan……hmmm
