They have one of those in Colorado?

I know about the one in NC…

In North Carolina I guess….girlfriends family has a place in the area……he said beach, golf, beers, and fishing….so he’s having fun.

I re-read my post and see why it was confusing….lives in Denver but on vacation RN in NC.

Yeah… NC is definitely underrated for beaches and golf!

And there are a lot of good breweries around, too!

IMO Biggio should get a shot.

I don’t know if he will provide a boost to the lineup but it can’t hurt….IMO he could give you more than Allen/Delgado.

In May/June he has 10 HR and 34 RBI……his BA is over .300 with an OBP of .468 , OPS of 1.036.
He also has 43 walks vs 35 K’s.

A vet with an .880 OPS for the year in AAA? Why hasn’t he been called up?

Even stranger when he’s the son of a legend.

And just as close to 4th place as we are to 1st.

After the break, they have to reverse the trend they started against the Mariners this year. If they can’t beat the Mariners and Rangers they don’t need anywhere near the pLaYoFfS

Whether the post-trade deadline Astros look any different than the current version is going to be an interesting development.

They’ll have Sousa, Blanco, McCullers, and Wesneski all probably coming back in July (maybe early August for Wesneski), and Teng will be back at some point. I think all of them besides McCullers and Wesneski? still have options, but I’d be surprised if some of these guys and/or other pitchers aren’t moved out - too many guys with limited upside taking up space.

The current OF/IF prospect situation has a whole box of dudes with “potential” that haven’t shown the ability to stick and at least be above-average. Meyers is an obvious exit target, and Loperfido, Dezenzo, Cole, Whitcomb, and even Matthews all have things to like, but none of them have really taken the necessary next step offensively. I wouldn’t be afraid to trade any of them even though I like all of them.

I’m not expecting any kind of huge deal - kind of hope they don’t go for that because it would likely require trading one of the high-upside pitchers that are caught in the Sugar Land shuffle right now. But I think its time to move on from some of these dudes and get some new dudes.

Astros need to be sellers at the deadline.
