Flyout to right, Wong the doubles to right center. Padgett then grounds to the pitcher and they catch Wong in a rundown and he’s thrown out at 3rd. Padgett is then thrown out at 2nd on the same play.

This is ridiculous at this point.

Romero’s working his butt off out there. Be nice if the rest of the team would get their act in order tonight.

Sitting at 97 pitches right now so you maybe get one more inning from him

Yea, I just went with ridiculous, deserved much worse

Coogs just can’t overcome this many mistakes, many of which are the same we saw over and over last year.

Another game given away.

I agree that this looks just like last year…we cannot beat good teams making silly base running errors and not scoring when you have the bases loaded and no outs…

Bad news: we lost a very winnable game. Good news, we should have favorable pitching matchups the rest of the weekend. Got to score runs though.

Joey Pulido | 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K

Houston starter Seth Romero fanned 11 hitters and notched his fourth straight start with at least 10 strikeouts, but would suffer the unfortunate loss, allowing just four hits and one earned run with four walks in 6.1 innings. The southpaw is now 2-2 on the year.

Junior reliever Joey Pulido took over in the seventh and held Baylor scoreless and sophomore Aaron Fletcher pitched two outs to keep the Bears off the board after inheriting a jam in the eighth.
