Houston Blue Game vs. UCF (10/03)

My son who is currently a student says you wouldn’t even know that we are playing each week. No hype or marketing on campus unlike basketball.

Houston had lost 15 straight games after trailing by 17+ points and had a win probability of just 7.9% when down 17-0 in the third quarter according to ESPN Analytics.

Entering play on Saturday, FBS teams down 17+ pts in the second half were 3-130 this season

We have some great fans for sure. There’s families and hardworking people that have been loyal to this team. We just don’t have as many as the other schools.
It’s expensive to pay for tickets, parking, and food. Not everyone can come out.

I’m not excusing our fanbase - it sucks - but it really feels like our football program’s approach to marketing the games is just to put a few posts on social media that people who aren’t already following the team will never see.

Who was booing?

If they don’t get the students hyped on campus. They sure won’t be hyped to go when they graduate.

Fire them all.

Zero creativity.

It’s f*cking embarrassing. If we don’t win at K-State, we’re looking at 90% OSU fans in our stadium the following week.

I dont understand how UH wanted make this the Space Game yet there was no real marketing outside this week. Made such a big deal about helmets but didnt announce until the day before the game. We would save money firing the marketing department and just letting Bauer College run marketing.

At least Weigman is better than that other Aggie QB Kyle Allen that came here 9 years ago.

I didn’t hear any boos. We can play 2 or 3 quarters of football against top teams in the B12. We will get beat. I don’t believe we’ve played “ as a team” 4 solid quarters of football
We still are shooting ourselves in the foot

Maybe they weren’t sure they’d get done in time

You’re right – they actually shared the Coliseum for a long time and for some reason I thought they had both moved to the Rose Bowl – probably because they still both wear home uniforms when they play each other, the only college teams I’ve ever seen do that.

But you’d still think a USC/UCLA game would fill the place up. Their attendance always looks like both of them are 1-11 teams.

I like reading them, I’m a masochist I guess

UCLA put up huge tarps to cover up both end zones a few years ago limiting visitors. First time I went, USC prolly had 30k at the rose bowl if not more.

Need to change the name of this to Coogbandwagonfans because only when the teams are perfect, lead start to finish and exceed all expectations by the members are any of these people happy with coaches, players and fans.

So, you don’t follow Basketball game threads either? Nothing new. Some of you aren’t meant to participate in gameday threads, if it ruffles your feathers so much. COOGFANS gameday threads are no different than any other team’s
