Ballhandler stepped on and dribbled on midcourt before he stepped on Terry’s foot by trying to turn the corner. Terry was moving his feet. Literally none of that play, from the getting trapped, to the retreating, to the backcourt violation, to the flop was Arizona or the refs fault. It was the ballhandler and the coach who placed him in that situation through play calling.

This. Spot on.
it is the ncaa hand book what is legal guard postion, arizona made forcible contact not in legal guarding position, you have to be facing them forward, not on the side… i understand holding the whistle there, but that is a foul on most occasions
there was some acting, but there was enough contact that that is 100% called if that was a regular season game
absolutely no one would besides Arizona fans would have said it was a bad call had it been called… there was some bad defense on that play, i dont get trying to pretend like there wasnt
Root for our guys. Victory is not certain, but certainly obtainable. Will we hit our shots? Will AZ drain the hoop repeatedly? Refs? Turnovers? Crazy bounces? Can we keep the pace to one of a rock fight?
Gotta watch to find out.
I hope the refs allow this game to be physical. I would hate to see the game won or lost by either team because of a disparity in free throws. Plus, despite Arizona having a height advantage and being a good defensive team, I think Houston benefits more by limiting points in the paint with their ‘monster’ defense and forcing Az to win on the perimeter.
Arizona plays a great offense and their second half runs are especially impressive, but if they try to cover Fabian White Jr one on one they are going to lose.
There was some bad defense and entirely bad offense. You don’t bail out bad offense. That call is a bailout. Besides, as has been said, the ballhandler stepped on the baseline and then dribbled on the baseline Prior to the bump contact, that, his own directional change initiated.
It’s been a good season regardless win or lose tonight
Let the cat fight begin. Cougars dine on filet of wildcat.
For both teams. You all because of injuries. Arizona because of rookie coach and youth. If either had been told of the factors prior seasons start and that it was a Sweet 16 season, I think both programs are happy. Shame we both can’t meet up healthy. Regardless of outcome, I always love those types of matchups.
Someone said about 50 posts back that they thought tcu was a bad team. I disagree. They are a sloppy team and I think they are very good at being sloppy.
Tonight is going to be a much different game with teams who play with way better intent and control.
Good season. If you meet Duke, give ‘em hell.
theres a whole 7 minutes to go
I’m watching, but I can tell when this team has it, and, when it can get it. You all are doing a great job of not allowed them to get it. Outside of an insane streak, which vs your D seems unlikely, you all are moving on. Nothing wrong with tipping the cap to acknowledge the process leading to the result, too.
Thank you sir.
Seriously, if you see Duke in the Title game, freaking torture them similarly, please. Though good luck with them Duke/Title Game Refs. I know from experience about that one.
Looks like your boys have now lost 2 since January.
Appreciate hearing the Zona perspective. UA was a #1 seed but UH at #5 was unfortunate for them. Should’ve been played one more round further
Appreciate the Arizona fans on our board, but was never really close. Up by 6 at half and won by 12 and never trialed the entire game.
Go Coogs! I get to use my Saturday tickets!
