Boy, fanning the flames of the uni argument.
Well done.
How about this, just assume everybody in the stadium is a Houston fan, even the ones with slightly darker red shirts.
The noise level should make it clear
Sometimes our fans forget our colors are red and WHITE. If you are anti blue, wear white!
ISU had a beautiful white out game, if our fans had not sold their tickets we could have had mostly blue.
Be serious, man. Cougars don’t have thumbs.
I didn’t think this needed its own thread but did want to post it. UH’s field design Saturday. Houston Blue borders the field and Houston Cougars in Houston Blue script in the endzones.
I like it
Can we beat Texas Tech? Absolutely.
Do they deserve to be favored? Of course — their stats are stronger on paper. But stats don’t win games. If they did, Vegas would never lose.
What I’ve seen so far is that we haven’t played a full four quarters at a consistently high level. We haven’t protected Conner the way we need to. Yet when Conner gets the ball out quickly, or takes off and runs, he’s dangerous — just look at Colorado. That’s the blueprint.
People said Colorado’s O-line and D-line were stronger than ours. We proved otherwise by exploiting both. Quick passes. Quick runs. Control the clock. That’s our game, and Coach Willie Fritz is a master of it.
The media can debate O-line vs. D-line all week long. What matters is how badly we want this game — and how we respond when it gets tough. Every one of our first four games showed there’s no quit in this team and no quit in this staff. That alone is a problem for Texas Tech.
This game is tailor-made for Willie Fritz football: stick to the fundamentals, stay sharp on offense, defense, and special teams, and especially lock in on the kicking game. Details will decide it.
Look, I get that we’re trying to stick it to the NFL and Adams-Strunk but can we please call it quits wearing Columbia blue after this? It’s not a school color and loses some cachet after every wear. It was cool as a change of pace a few years ago and I get doing it again to stick it the NFL but it’s a tradition that needs to die. Once a decade at the most, please.

Good writeup…
Two reasons for continuing once a year with Houston Blue.
Early shoutout to the UH students, who have been UH’s MVP in the stands this year.
Be loud and be proud Saturday!
That number seems a bit inflated to me. That would be 10,000 people buying $50 worth t-shirts and hats or some variation of other factors. By revenue do they means gross sales or what’s left after paying for those goods, etc?
Where’s the hurt list?
I don’t mind the Houston Blue game, but not when we are playing a red team.
