How are we feeling about Donovan Smith, the starter for 2023

Is he going to get us a Big 12 championship

That’s a tough assignment

Let’s wait to see who starts before setting expectations on the QB.

Let’s see him play some games before we judge his play.

I always laugh when someone asks, “How are we feeling?” How would I know how the questioner feels, much less how the group feels. Plus, getting a unanimous feeling would be pretty hard.

Not an attack, just a comment on a common phrase.

In my opinion, our entire season rests on QB play. If Coley or Smith can be an all star, we are gonna have a great season…if none of them are able to single handidly carry the team on their backs…it’s gonna be a challenge, but it still could be a fun season to enjoy.

If the INTs are fixed, he’ll be hyped like crazy and rightfully so.

Not thrilled that he is an INT machine. Lost games last two seasons due to interceptions. Was looking forward to moving on from that.

Has Donovan officially been named the starter? I thought Coley was in the mix.

I’m actually rooting for Coley to win the job, but whoever ends up playing at QB, I hope they just win some games.

He lost games because his defense couldnt hold anyone under 30 or 40 points…Smith is a very talented player and so are his offensive mates, but they need the defense to step up and be respectable this year in Big 12 play…
he got no help last year from his D…

I think my feelings about the defense are more important than my feelings about the QB.

He got help from our D though lol, 4th and 20

He’s a good stop gap QB for now.

Jerand Bradley, the receiver, is also solid. 88 rating (high three star) with UH and Baylor offers.

What a radical and misguided concept!

There was a time when you could say the same about Tune. Perhaps CDH knows a thing or two about working with QBs?
