ticket office is closed today (Friday) before the last game of the football season against Navy. Marketing has always been a problem at UH in my opinion and this is just another example of the lack of their concern in selling tickets to this last game and marketing altogether.
I actually need to talk to a live person about some additional seats for Saturday’s game and parking, but our ticket office doesn’t see fit to have at least 1 person there today.

That is a great point. Now let’s look at the reason why the ticket office is closed.
This falls entirely with the board of regents. We all know who leads the board.
Are we going to give away all unsold tickets to active service men/women and/or veterans? Maybe that is why?

Can someone explain to me in details why we could not fill the ticket office with live bodies wanting to make some money?
Are all students debt free?

I have off today and have no problem with the office being closed today. Is your employer closed today? If you want extra tickets, you will be able to buy them tomorrow.
Tickets can also be bought on line too. Am I right?

That is not the point Paul. We have a game tomorrow. but the ticket office is closed. There are plenty of students or current employees that would love to make an extra buck. Millions of jobs are temporary jobs. Do we want to do everything that we can to sell tickets or not?

So theoretically you can contact me either by email or phone. That is valid for every U of H alum or fan. Most importantly it is valid for every active duty or veterans.
My response is a reaction to the ongoing ticket issues that we have had for decades. It is as basic as “You don’t ask you don’t get”

If you have season tickets, you can print from home and email the PDFs
You don’t have to call the ticket office to buy tickets. You can do it online. If you wanted tickets so badly, why did you wait until the day before the game?
Good customer service doesn’t ask the customer why they wait until the last minute to buy something. That’s why stores are open Christmas Eve
I remember this same amount of bitching before the UHBB exhibition game. Why do we need tickets, what if someone is in my seat… and on and on !
Game time, 1500 people show up !!
If you want to go to the game, go to the game. The ticket office will be open.

Supply and Demand. Supply is plenty and demand is low. Couple that with the ticket office holiday schedule posted months in advance…not the ticket office’s fault he couldn’t get in touch with anybody today. Again, you can buy online. No ticket office needed.
Who waits until the day before the game on Thanksgiving weekend to do this???

I mean if this was a bigger game this year I’d have more of an issue. And I do think that it sucks for the OP, but if good stand alone purchase enough to have the ticket office open?
Because of they’ve had it open before and it’s been a money loser why would they continue to have it open?

I worry about the overall organization of it sometimes. We’re a program deeply indebted to BOD for our financing like most programs. If the economics of it merit opening today to put a bit more revenue on the P&L then you should probably do it.
I worry that they already looked at it and thought the additional tickets won’t pay the hourly wage today. Lol
