Tech has never won a major bowl game. They’ve never won 13 games in a season. Nor have they had a 12 win season. Hell, despite nearly 20 years less history we have 3 more ten + win seasons. And then there’s hoops.

We also lead the all-time series in both major sports and we all know where they stand academically. And this despite their earlier membership in SWC and then the Big 12.

I’m expecting Tech to win this game handily. I’m just not sold on the QB. We’ll see if he can change my opinion this Saturday.

I agree that tech will win. I disagree about our QB.To me, our QB is the only thing I’m sold on about this team. He will give us chance to win every time he’s steps out there.

I agree with Butch on a lot. But I see a real warrior in our new QB. I think he’ll take what Fritz gives him and make it happen. I think if Fritz tells him to light it up, he lights it up.

I think he will struggle today. I was watching the BYU game last night and Andre pretty much said the same when asked for his thoughts on this matchup. He’s really going to have to step up to have a chance.

But will the struggles because the QB isn’t playing well or because our Oline is sitting in his lap 1.5 seconds after the snap?

Only thing Weigmann needs to do improve his personal struggles is settle in earlier when he’s not in rhythm he sails passes and that’s an issue

I look for Weigman to have a short timer early today, before he tucks the ball and runs as his first option on pass plays. I think we’ll mix up runs inside and counter with QB runs to get tech to collapse the secondary, then start throwing with tempo in the 3rd. The key will be chewing clock while we’re at it, to keep tech from having too many scoring opportunities before we spring the trap.
