Just finished a major fund raising campaign. Receipts exceeded the goal of getting to $1 billion. It’s for real. Takes time for the word to filter out.
The campaign started in 2012 and is still going, now called Beyond the Billion. This includes all money given across the UH system in that time. The endowment has gone down during this period.
This may actually be the case. The document I referenced isn’t available on the treasurer webpage anymore, although the document link still works.
But links on the treasury site show numbers as high as $911 million ending in November.
That rocks!
Even with just a 2.5% CD return it’s $22 million in income.
