If (not enough letters)

you are not watching Tennessee/Purdue you are missing one of the classic games of the last 100 years. Forth quarter and in the last few minutes (6 to 8) four touchdowns have been scored. 60ish TD run Purdue TE + 2 on extra points to go up by 7. Tennessee with 70ish yard run and 4 or 5 plays later, score to tie. Purdue goes to third and 5, then 70ish catch and run for TD. Next up, Tennessee scores on another long run and a couple of plays later, with 1:35 left to play, the game is ties @ 45. Purdue has a QB that started as 8th on depth chart. So far down, in practice he worked as a wide receiver. Fun game to watch, just glad I have no dog in this hunt . . . . .

29 points scored in the fourth quarter between both teams over a span of 3:23.

Kinda hoping for OT.

Ironically, #15 on Purdue who was off sides that caused the extra play on 4th down, was Derek’s teammate in little league. Had it not been for that, Purdue could have won most likely. That one penalty has snowballed this crazy game .

I had the game on in my office, without sound, and thought the first half was kinda slow. Second half it went off though.

Don’t care about the game. Just want SEC to lose.

I watched the last Quarter and OT…you are right on…the last 4 minutes was unbelievable.

It was great until the refs screwed Tennessee at the end but not following simple common-sense

Of course, in SEC country that one call will be a metaphor for the entire SEC bowl record.

Cue Finebaum and the Toothless Hellions of Flori-bama:

“They’s def’nitly un antee-SEC bi-us in these bole gay’ms!!”

Mr. Finebaum is an outlier. You, sir, just don’t appreciate the Southron way of things.

And it aint no different in farm country or even out West where it is still real.

I watched this. Even before it was over I commented to wife (not a big football fan) “this is the most exciting football game I’ve seen in a long time”. Our Auburn game was a classic defensive struggle. Pure hard nosed football and taking nothing from our significant victory but offensive fireworks are more exciting and entertaining. How many lead changes did Purdue and Tennessee have? Ten or more I would guess. So many memorable plays. It will be known as a classic bowl game.
