I love how folks hate on the SEC for looking down on other conferences, then we do the same to Boise. Not saying it isn’t correct, but 10-1 isn’t something that should be tossed aside. That said, it would be funny to see Boise lose and all of the sudden Tulane might leap them. It’s a mess and was always going to be one.
Remember when the argument was “who cares about teams 10-12, the teams left out will just have to deal with it ” welp, it’s here and folks care a lot. They need to either get rid of the buy system or discard the conference champs getting buys part.
I didn’t realize the Big12 winner would not get one of the bye slots. I figured as a Power 4 conference that was assured.
Really puts into question the Big12 as a Power 4. Although traditional powers Utah, Ok state and even k-state have had off years compared to their recent history, seems no doubt that The ACC is clearly 3rd and its not close in the power 4 and Boise may not have the record they have if in the Big12 but they might be in the hunt for the big12 title.
The ACC gets by with its traditional powers of Miami, Clemson and FSU holding it up as a top tier conference, the Big12 is really going to need Utah, ok state and k-state to do the same or the conference is really going to be called into question as the years go by.
There is a great chance that both Texas and Boise state will not be where they are shown. We shall see.

Boise is extremely overrated.
A close loss to Oregon ( before the Ducks started playing well) is their calling card? GTFO
By that rationale they should be docked for getting lucky in the last couple of minutes against a horrible Wyoming team.
Tulane would destroy Boise.

Disagree.
Any school that steps up and gets 11 wins will be just as effective. Those three have nothing special about them. I woud go as far to say there are better three that will get more attention (including UH)

ok, we disagree; seems a few can hold a conference up; ACC currently doing that without FSU; could get 2 in; until the Big12 has some dominant teams again; it’s a one CFP big league imo.
B12 getting the screw job. So many of our teams our teams are under ranked. Meanwhile garbage *** Tulane is ranked #17! They’d be lucky to win two games in this league.
I agree with the bold, I just don’t why your posting it has to be Utah (with TCU in MWC), K St (outside of Snyder years one of worst programs) or Ok St (never been more than 2nd place in their state).
Colorado has long history of success, AZ is a big state school, BYU a national following, TCU has more national championships and historical aspects than others, UH has strong history even not being around 100 years.
