I will say it right now, ECU wins the East. Just watch the highlights of #11 Summers from the NC St game.
NC St is not that great of a team, but you can see that the new ECU coach is getting the most from his talent.
ECU at USF on October 8 will be telling and probably will decide the east. ECU also has South Carolina this weekend. South Carolina is not a good team, but they are an SEC team and will be at home for that one.

ECU could be an X factor in the east, but it is hard to tell with who they have played. It would be nice if they could smoke S. Carolina. That would let the American keep boosting its percieved strength.
ECU looks better to me than USF at this stage in the season. That could change though.
USF has dominated their opponents. ECU squeaked by NC State.
It feels like ECU beats NC State every year. It says more about the latter program than the former, I think.
Could happen; USF always seems to have a letdown game or 2 in conference.
