Iâve always had a neocon streak in me so I can get behind some of what weâve seen, although I certainly question why oil would be the why which it sometimes has been described (see Venezuela).
But I will say this is not what the president sold everyone. Itâs nearly the opposite tbh. That doesnât necessarily make the decisions wrong but that should be acknowledged.
Tired of having our military bases and personnel targeted by Iran, overdue. The âobliteratedâ assessment was definitely premature. After World War II, weâve had a long history of not being able to finish the job that we start. Has always been frustrating.

Yes I can admit this could turn out very well geo-politically. But it could also turn into years of turmoil. Big risk big reward chance and it mostly depends on how the Iranian people respond.

Exactly and the two main differences with the Iraq conflict:
We were sold on WMDâŠThey never exisited but 40 years old remnants. This intel was âsoldâ by some that indeed wanted war.
In this particular conflict we see the following:
Israel being our closest ally and been targeted for decades is truly our equal.
This is a joint operation that benefits each other. Israel has provided local intel, irrefutable intel (not like in the Iraq war) By so the clinical approach to last Summerâs bombing on their nuclear sites was critical. We are seeing the same âpartnershipâ today.
The approach that we have taken is dramatically different than in Irak or Afghanistan. This is an air attack designed to eliminate any long distance missiles threats. By doing so it pegs the dictators against their own wall with only two options:. Capitulate or be exterminated. This is also allowing for the Iranian people to rise up against their dictators. At the end of the day it is firstly about them. DJT was brilliant into offering some a âway outâ This is the ultimate and most brilliant approach to thisâŠand the most likely to succeed long term without having mass casualties.
