How can that be? They are a p5 program?
The UH program is in better shape right now than the Baylor program, but with the vast difference in revenue, access to much better bowl games, and a better chance to make the CFP, Baylor is a better job. As soon as UH is in a P5 conference it won’t be anymore and neither will TCU.
So is the Kansas job better than U of H
No. Kansas has never shown any commitment to football and they have no fan support. Baylor has enough recent success that they could return to the upper half of the B12.
No, they will not. They essentially had a recruiting class numbering zero last year and currently have one commitment. Even with all the talent they still had this year they went 6-6. They lose a ton of talent. The cupboard will be bare. If you haven’t noticed, no coach with any chops wants to go there.
I don’t think so. The recruiting fallout alone from the scandal is going to make the next 3-4 years extremely tough on whoever takes that job. They only ended up with 10 kids in the 2016 class, and only have 1 committed for 2017. That is going to completely murder their depth. If I’m a coach looking at that job, I want 5 years fully guaranteed, because they are going to be really bad in a few years.
They have exactly ONE scholarship QB on the roster for next year. ONE. What a nightmare.
Wow! I did not see this coming. Baylor just got itself one heck of a coach.

Very surprised he would take that job. He is one coach I can see fixing the culture there.
I’m not sure he’ll be able to fix the culture because it’s an administration issue. People in much higher places turned their heads at rape. I wonder if they’re all out? I know the AD and president are.
We know the entire B12 is against UH joining a P5 because they recruit the Houston area so heavily. Although UT’s president voiced support for UH during the B12 expansion Sham, I don’t think he was honest about it. UH not being in a P5 is a huge difference maker. The American conference has lost its top two head coaches to the B12 (Herman and Rhule) and these two have won conference championships.
I don’t know what the NCAA is doing, this P5 cartel continues, why only in D1 football, we separate P5 and G5? Why can NCAA level the field like any other sports? This really made lose interest in college football, and I’ve been a season ticket holder for 11 years. Its really hard to be in Texas, under the evil empire of UT and surrounded by B12 schools not wanting UH to advance in sports nor academics. Such a republican state.
Look at California. Do you know how many UC system schools are ranked now as top public universities in the country. Twenty years ago, only UC Berkeley and UCLA were considered and ranked in the 10 among public universities. UC Irvine in the 90s were ranked closed to UH. Now, if you look at the rankings: 1. UC Berkeley, 2. UCLA, 8. UC Santa Clara, 9. UC Irvine, 10, UC Davis, 10. UC San Diego (tied). Although California is a democratic state, their UC system are supporting each other. UC Berkeley has been nominating other UC system schools to be in the AAU. What has UT Austin done, busy putting down other schools UT-Arlington, San Antonio, Rio Grande, El Paso, amazing how selfish (the richer gets richer, UT Austin). UT and A&M are the only ones sharing the PUF (Permanent University Fund), that’s the only reason they’re ranked 19 and 27 respectively. However, they ranked in the top 10 in terms of endowment.
Dr. Kathur has done an amazing job, an upstream fight against “old xxxx boys club” for our university. We have an amazing president. UT needs to stop their expansion to Houston. Stay in Austin and continue to be the flagship you are. Don’t try to swallow everything in the state, you will only get fat.
I would add Fuente to Va Tech. That makes three of the top 4 AAC coaches to P5 conference over the last two seasons
AAC football was so good last year, it doesn’t surprised me.
