Sad to see him go, the writing was on the wall unfortunately. Where do we think he lands?
Super talented. Didn’t work out here but hope he thrives elsewhere…unless he’s playing us.
That’s disappointing. He showed some glimpses of greatness, but never found his role. As far as his next stop? I’m guessing BYU — maybe he’s homesick they’d certainly pay him better.
Have not seen any public posting on it.
Nothing from Harwell, UH or JD.
We’ve been fortunate when it comes to retention, but now that we are landing 5* and high 4s, this could become more common. Seems like a great kid, wish him well unless he’s playing us.
If true, I bet UH can find a player with a better ROI.
Disappointing, I was hoping he’d come back.
Best of luck to him.
Given his likely cost, I wouldn’t be surprised if this one was mutual.
I heard he was always supposed to be one and done. ![]()
He deserved to lose his playing time and needed to get better to earn it back
Money better spent elsewhere for a more proven commodity.
Crazy we have to think like a GM, such is college basketball these days
Boo-urns
If im him i try to land back out west somewhere closer to home and at a good mid major like SDSU, UNLV or Utah State. Needs a place where he can get his confidence back and have the ball in his hands more
He was coming off an injury.
I hate to loose him, but he’s the biggest question mark on the team. His ceiling is still very high - yet his floor seemed to go down as the season progressed
Please…no more one-and-done freshmen.
One-and-done players should be talented juniors with extensive experience at other programs.
Are we getting the short end of the deal with him leaving or is this better for everybody? I feel a little worried about this.
Thank you for your service.
I wonder if the we would have won over Holt if he knew about about Harwell leaving sooner.
