I could then just as easily argue he was our best overall player (college or pro) and merely mention his game on the court. Works either way.

Bill Walton called Dream the greatest international player of all-time on the ASU broadcast last night…

Question was asked if Nikola Jokic is/will be the greatest international player if he wins his 3rd MVP this year…

He’s pretty damn good…

I still prefer DREAM! Nothing against Elvin though! He’s great too!

Dream was the best I saw play. Big E was a bit before my time as a UH fan.

Hakeem’s block on Rod Strickland was amazing in how much ground he covered so quickly.

Seeing Hakeem at UH games is awesome. Must be a real treat for the UH players and staff to interact with him and hear his advice/perspective.

Dream is aging like a fine wine. He looks like he is still in β€˜game’ shape.

No.

If Jokic wins three straight MVPs on a team that cannot even make it past the second round, then that is proof that the media should lose their vote for MVP.

No big man playing center should be able to chase down a guard from mid court and block a layup. That highlight is a great summary of the one of a kind atheletic ability that no other Center in NBA History has had. One of a kind!!!

I sure hope he has gone to a practict or two and has worked with Walker. When Walker pulled off that Dream Shake against Tulane makes me think the Dream might have made it to a Coog practice this year. One area Walker with his bulk could add is a better post game and the Hakeem can give him some valuable pointers like no other.

Did he get the β€œDream” nickname at UH or earlier/later?

Dusty Baker is at the game!!!

I see nothing wrong with preferring Hakeem as your favorite, he was a tremendous player for us and the Rockets. He is one of my all time favorites, and I admit that though I think Elvin was our best player ever in college, he is not my favorite because I never got to see him play. When he was at UH, I was in the Navy and was an LSU fan. I never watched pro basketball except when Hakeem and Clyde played for the Rockets.

Hakeem, Clyde, Otis Birdsong, Rob Gray, Galen, Wes Van Beck, and Deeky (he’s a savage) are probably my favorites since I was a student from 1976-80 until the present. That 3 year run to the Final 4 from 82-84 was magical.
