IT'S REALLY SAD

Here we are with the best group of players and coaches since the Phi Slamma Jama days and we have to deal with a pandemic. If not for the virus I believe we would sell out the Fertita Center for our remaining home games. Imagine how helpful that would be for our Athletic Department’s budget as well as campus spirit.

Hence the slogan.

“it is tough being a Coog”

We can’t catch a break. Best team in 36 years and we can’t fill up the joint due to something beyond our control.

The good news is that Coog basketball is the hot product in Houston…and is a nationally recognized PROGRAM (not just team)! Houston, as a city, is about to get lit about the Coogs…and there’s plenty of room on the bandwagon!

You know what’s also sad? We are the top10 (soon to be top 5) team in the country and we got almost zero coverage on ESPN website… It is tough being a Coog.

Jon Rothstein is the best college bb reporter out there. Again, not just because he has us high on his list, but because he follows all games and actually makes intelligent conversation across all conferences. Unlike that idiot Seth Davis who voted us 15th last week and has yet to acknowledge our game today. Too busy kissing acc ash.

Well, at least with the televised games the amount of fans is about the same for everyone this year. However, does it give us an opportunity to push the ratings of our games higher to get more notice from the networks?

May I motion to call this the “Coog Lamentations Thread” ?
