His defense has been solid past few games… but holy rusted metal Batman his offense is bad.
It’s okay that’s it’s bad. It’s not okay that he forces his own offense the way he does.

I just cringe when he’s, literally, around/under the bucket and can’t make the basket.
He’s shooting 50%, which is the same as Tugler and better than Roberts. Now, I think those guys working around the basket should probably be higher, but Francis doesn’t stick out as a particular problem. The bigger problem is that those guys aren’t taking enough shots around the basket to begin with. And all three of those guys are turning the ball over too much.
On another note, TA is also shooting 50%, which is tremendous when you consider the degree of difficulty. We need more of that.

That was Jamal though. A lob in pick & roll to Francis, a soft missed shot in the paint, allowing for a putback by Francis.
The offensive game, probably aint coming. Cause his moves are too slow, too predictable in the post.
He’ll probably be somewhat effective at Home. But in road games, i expect typical foul trouble issues & no point production
Carlton offensively was great. Defensively, somewhat a liability, slow footed. But his O outweighed his D.
Francis, his defense doesn’t outweigh his offense for me. Doesn’t consistently bring it.

I think this is what confounds Sampson about Francis.
That is insulting to Malone- who was a flat out stud.

Might I remind folks Francis is still growing? He will get better. He will be ok. He is going to win some games for UH.
