Joe Montag is in his second season as a graduate assistant. He joined the Boilermakers after 18 months as a defensive assistant at Miami (Fla.).
Montag graduated with honors from Bridgewater College in 2014 with a degree in exercise science, focused more on the performance side than the rehabilitation side, while minoring in coaching. He severed as a student assistant for the football team.
Montag earned a master’s in sports administration from Miami in 2015.
