ā¦ But manā¦ Can he coach and miss that POS. Good night guys
Lol. He didnāt mess around. He didnāt even want to be here. Yet, he still got us to a Peach Bowl. Got us wins over OU, FSU, and Louisville. Imagine if he actually cared about coaching at UH. The guy would have never lost a game.
He also had an NFL-packed defense and one of the best dual threats in the nationā¦
DāEriq WAS the best dual threat in the nation coming into the season. How things have changed.
He would win big with King. Probably would cater a better offense to his strengths. Defense conditioning is a bigger concern. Strength & Conditioning coach should be fired.
He had a terrible loss against SMU and he canāt beat Maryland.
Got us to build a practice facility and a state of the art lockerroom too. He also didnāt take crap from the biased anti-UH local media.
Like John Blopez
Lolā¦ Funny but true.
F Judas. Hes part of the reason we are in this situation. Good Riddance
Dude could flat out coachā¦BUTā¦heās also THE reason of the state of the program depth and talent wise at this point in time
UCONN, SMU,NAVY,Memphis
Were those all of his losses?
Kind of makes me think about what Sumlin did to Tate.
Bingo
Sooner or later we 'll have to blame someone else guys, we will need to hire someone who can built the program from the bottom, up. Hopefully thatās Dana or whoever that may be soon.
Say what you want about Herman, but outside of his 2 years here, weāve been a pretty average (certainly not P5 worthy) program in the 4+ other years in the AAC:
32 wins and 24 losses (.57 winning %)
20 conf. wins and 13 conf. losses (.61 %)
1 shared division title
1 bowl win 3 bowl losses (.25 %)
3 P5 wins (Pitt, Arizona x2) and 5 P5 losses (Oklahoma, Vandy, WSU, T.Tech x2) (.38 %)
Iāll tell you, with all of the controversy about who was lying, perhaps Lopez was correct? I donāt believe anything the Lying Coach says.
Yes, but heās been pretty average away from here too. Which suggests it was a perfect storm, where talented players (that he didnāt recruit) bought into and executed his vision. For whatever reason, neither side of that equation has been able to recreate the other half.
Even though Coog fans didnāt want him to be, Herman was the bad guy in that exchange.
He got so mad at Lopez for getting the reporting wrong that Allen visited UH when what actually happened was Allen and Herman spoke over the phone. Part of the reason Herman got mad was he seemed to be playing his is it a lie or not semantics game with Dāeriq King and his dad at the time about whether he was recruiting Allen.
Lopez was right though. The takeaway from the story wasnāt the method of communication between Allen and Herman. The story was mutual interest between the two. Just because it caught Herman in a sorta lie where maybe he didnāt actually lie but he was being deceitful didnāt warrant how Herman reacted about it.
