For arranging to host the NIT game vs Akron at TSU. I thought we would be forced to go on the road.
This way, fans will get used to parking etc. for TSU’s gym.
Game will be played on Wednesday at 6:30.
If we win, we’ll play the winner of BYU/UT-Arlington.
This is a pleasant surprise. Looking forward to it. 1st time going to TSU’s campus for me as well.
Yup, this was a smart decision. It also gives us a better chance of winning instead of having to go on the road in a conference champion’s building.
It may “only” be the NIT, but getting some wins this year would be a boon for the program.
Oh, I think CKS had more than a little to do with that.
Hunter was fully prepared to send the team on the road - where do you think JD and Berman got that info from earlier in the week?

Yeah, Hunter didn’t have crap to do with the team playing at TSU. Hunter usually doesn’t have crap to do with most of the real decisions in the program. With Tillman and Renu so involved, not sure how he could. He knows how to give a speech though and is cordial with everyone. Which is a big part of the job.

At least it seems that we have a good working relationship with TSU. The debacle with Rice in 2013 made it difficult on everyone involved.
