I don’t ever want to go back to the Shreveport Independence Bowl ever again. COLD COLD game, bus broke down, ate at Dennys at like 2am and didin’t get back til nearly sunrise.

Tennessee in the Texas Bowl would be fun. It may not be the UT we want but they travel really well
Tennessee is the best 3-loss team in the country IMO.
Close losses to Alabama. Georgia, and Oklahoma. They are literally a half dozen plays away from being undefeated…
Tennessee has also beaten no team with a pulse and is only ranked because they lose to good teams prettily.
Their wins are over teams with a combined 13-31 record vs FBS. Not a single win over a team with a winning record.

We froze in Ft. Worth vs Army, and froze even deeper in Shreveport. 40 would be my bottom number. Even my companions, deer hunters, said they were frozen in Shreveport. We were fairly cool in Dallas chipping ice off of the seats. 8 hour drive back to Houston following that game.

Vandy is a fun story but they are ranked because they upset LSU. LSU was ranked highly because they beat Clemson.

Our wins over Arizona and AT Arizona State are better than any Vandy win.

I disagree. Vandy also beat South Carolina and Missouri. Both of those teams are better than the Arizona teams.

Stats don’t always paint a good picture.
Tennessee is a very good team.
Considering where we’re at in our program, I don’t think there will be any easy bowl matchups for UH. OTH, we won’t be an easy bowl matchup for anyone else … unless we’re playing a top 5 team. My preferances for a bowl game are Nebraska or Texas, but I’ll be happy to just be back in the bowl picture this year.
