It’s been awfully quiet in the recruiting front
Maybe he is thinking of the Cleveland kid who shunned us and went to Florida to be close to his auntie…wink, wink. He was a Herman recruit and was recruited off the same Westside team as Ed and the same year…
I hope no one on our team wears makeup but these days I’m not going to judge. You do you.
Back in the day the only makeup we wore was eye black. That’s the way we liked it.
Coaches had ample opportunity to evaluate our personnel in the Spring
Some of the kids that were lost when Herman left were probably influenced by the collapse of the Big 12 invitation.
We saw Smith play QB at times last year and didn’t do much. He did have a great pass yesterday helped by the fact the WR was 3 yards behind the DB. But, through two seasons and springs, he had’t shown to be the better QB. Do you really think the coaches don’t want to put guys in that will give them the best chance to win?
I know there has been a Smith contingent on the board since he was signed. That’s fine, but I will go with the guys whose jobs depend on winning deciding who gives them the best chance.
Piland has to be the worst starting QB in UH history.
Again, transfer is still an option !
If UH history began when Art Briles was hired, you could make that argument. UH history doesn’t mean that though so this is crazy talk.
I don’t think most posters have realized it yet. I know exactly what you’re talking about at this point. Lol
I agree Piland was the worst QB.

Had a few classes with Piland. Really nice guy and I always rooted for him. Found out Greenberry was signing here before it was announced because he told Forsch before class. I posted it on one of the forums and got a bunch of one star votes.
All that said, he never caught on like I hoped he would.
I think Mr. Piland had the great misfortune to be coached up by personnel who should not have coaching up. I remember him looking better when he was a true freshman in 2010 and filling in for CK than when being the starter in 2012. I still get nauseous thinking about that first game against Tx St. That coaching staff was turrible (Charles Barkley voice).
Definitely. Same thing happened with JOK from 2013 to 2014. I’m trying to remember something in common between 2012 and 2014 but can’t put my finger on it…
JOK had a good year under Meachem, right? Definitely struggled after that.
He went after players he recruited to UH, and stole some away. Major was pretty pissed about it. Most emotion he showed apparently.
