I never liked the hire, but this is not a happy day. Our program is in no better shape than we were before he was fired and our schedule next year is brutal. I wish all the best to the Applewhite family and hope this is a good thing long term for everyone involved. Go Coogs.

I feel bad for Major. Briles screwed him. He’s the true Judas in this story. Major but his name on the line to give him a shot. Briles has zero loyalty and cost Major his job. If briles would have stayed another year Major would have been given another year. At that point the job is majors to keep or lose. I hope Kendal falls on his face at FSU.

Major will be OK. I feel for the rest of the staff, especially those in support positions. Anytime a change is made, it may affect some or all of them. There’s some good people in some of those positions and it’ll be tough seeing them go if they are let go.
But…we must move forward. There’s limited time to position ourselves and something needed to change.
