March Madness Rotation & Injuries

They were clearly dejected after having been embarrassed by Iowa State. Sampson even said that some players probably got their feelings hurt (probably from some things that Sampson said to them). Starns Leland even said that Shead was clearly upset after the game and short with his answers and that they were just trying to get out of there.

Me too!

Can’t blame them. That was a butt whoopin. Offense needs to get going and big men need to helping our shooters by contributing to some of said offensive output.

Give Iowa St credit. They allowed very few good looks. They are now the number 1 Kenpom defense. With Tugler out I think they are a little bit better than us.

I think they would’ve enjoyed a win, but the players really had no reason to go all out if the goal is a Final Four

Why would they be thinking about the final four when they are playing the conference championship game?

This is just the feeling I got in the arena. I think we wanted to win until the second media timeout in the first half. Iowa State was hustling and we knew what it was going to take. And we didn’t have it. And I honestly think we’d have had to play perfect to win.

Iowa State looked sharp and tough and determined.

Because the ultimate goal would be the Final Four. I mean CKS was doing interviews before the game talking about being beat up, but we’re going to go out there and try our best. I mean it was obvious we white flagged pretty early

Next we’re thinking about Longwood. Then we were thinking about ISU. They did make us white flag it

UH are regular season champions

A mere tournament doesn’t define UH basketball

Much less One game. TCU & TxTech were both beaten in bad way.

Never said it did

That didn’t age well.

I think we have a damn good chance at winning the whole enchilada, but it’s March Madness and anything can happen.

I hope so but I think UCONN says otherwise

Is Roberts okay? He tweaked one of his legs again yesterday.

Our 5 man bench played 40% of the minutes yesterday.

Elvin scored 5 points!

I think Iowa State will beat UConn and we will play them in Dayton where we will beat them. Of course they will have tons more fans on hand.

Iowa state is in a different region.

It was good that Shead, Cryer, Roberts played 25, 22 and 19 minutes yesterday.

Dunn and Wilson played 23 each and combined for 24 points and 9 rebounds.

On the season, the starting five averages 138 minutes or 27.6 per game. Francis averages the least at 20.2 minutes.

Assume all the starters except Francis play to their average and Francis gets an extra 7 minutes a game due to front line issues. So the starters get 145 minutes.

That would mean Dunn, Wilson, Lath and Walker just need to split up 55 minutes.

Dunn 17
Wilson 17
Walker 12
Lath 9

That’s doable. Having Walker back really helps.
