For former HS and JC quarterbacks who can demonstrate they can throw the ball downfield with some efficiency. It could not be any worse!

Coach Fritz just mis judge the QB talent. It happens when you’re rebuilding!!!
Lots of interceptions, fumbles and sacks.
Instead of being in the game with a chance to win in the 2nd half, we could have been out of it in Q1.
Yeah, it’s a loss either way, but it could be so much worse.
Now if you want to have walk-on tryouts for kicker or to try to find bodies at another position, whatever.
Baker Mayfield paved the way for walkon QBs, it isn’t embarrassing to any school.
Are you suggesting that our QB can only walk? I definitely saw him run a few times even though it wasn’t far. BTW, Mayfield is not a walking QB, I have seen him run several times.

Mayfield was a walk-on both at Tech and at OU. Mahomes was not.
Tech had 3 future NFL QBs (Davis Webb, Mahomes and Mayfield) fighting for the starting job, and Mayfield knew he wouldn’t win so he left Tech.
