As expected, US companies have stayed away from major investments in Venezuela.
And now the US government is going to use taxpayer BILLIONS to buy a stake in these oil fields to “encourage” these investments. This will be a new and improved subsidy to oil companies to do what our government proudly claimed they would do without BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars.

extending American influence in the western hemisphere.
This is a great goal, but we are going about it in the wrong way with what is being proposed. What we are doing is creating
anti-american sentiment in a large part of this hemisphere with this approach.

Anyone that knows a speckle of South American current conditions knows that getting the ccp involved all around the continent was a major societal, economical and military strategic mistakes. South Americans hate the ccp with a vengeance. Tell the Venezuelans, Argentinians and others how they feel about the current POTUS.
