I’m sure the Gaslight Gang will be all over this as another stroke of brilliance instead of just acknowledging the obvious sh!tshow.
If we stay at it long enough, the US will lose access to all of its important regional bases. Leaving Germany is a great start for Russia, and being barred from using SA is pretty impressive, too.
But it’s not random these are countries that facilitate the US military. Random would be if say they hit a random country in Africa or something like that.
Saudi, UAE, Oman, etc. that’s not the definition of random
As if we could have supported large numbers of troops in the ground logistically in Afghanistan at that point.
You really do accept every Demcompoop narrative uncritically don’t you?
Let me ask you this.
Did the war end with OBL’s demise, or did it continue for several more years and many more casualties under you know who without criticism of you know who on your part?
Yup, what they are saying behind closed doors does not match the public rhetoric
“Iran retains about 75 percent of its prewar inventories of mobile launchers and about 70 percent of its prewar stockpiles of missiles, a U.S. official said. The official said there is evidence that the regime has been able to recover and reopen almost all of its underground storage facilities, repair some damaged missiles and even assemble some new missiles that were nearly complete when the war began.”
But the gaslight gang will still claim we destroyed all their missiles
90-120 days until the major economic damage. Iran thinks they are in a strong position and don’t need to negotiate…. Sounds realistic.
That doesn’t sound that long to me. I would assume there would some capacity to wait.
Iran and the US negotiations… They are both trying to delay. It seems an impasse has been reached for now. I don’t think either side wants to wait 90 days though so there are different chess moves coming I’d assume.
The correct answer to my question is…no, it did not.
In fact, I was in Afghanistan at the time. We cheered and high-fived when we heard the news, and guess what? Five minutes later, we were back on duty…and the war dragged on for ten more years.
NO ONE on that side of the spectrum criticized you know who for anything related to the Afghanistan War, except maybe the now deceased cglaw, who wasn’t exactly all that left wing.
Nobody on that side still posting here did.
And GWB did not start the Afghanistan War.
Terrorists based out of Afghanistan, headquartered there, and sponsored by the Taliban started that war.
At least get that much right.

I’ve pointed it out several times, there are people posting here now that weren’t active in the old politics board back then. 3rd Ward and I would be among those.
