Snapshot electric vehicle sales in 2024 vs 2023
- Global: 17.1 million, +25%
- China: 11 million, +40%
- EU & EFTA & UK: 3.0 million, -3%
- USA & Canada: 1.8 million, +9%
- Rest of World: 1.3 million, +27%

good reason for stock price increase /s. Maybe another Musk promise on
yet to be made deliverable will boost the price again this year.
Tesla (TSLA) has released its Q1 2025 production and delivery numbers. The automaker confirmed it delivered 336,681 electric vehicles during the first three months of the year — far below expectations.
In Q1 2024, Tesla delivered 386,810 electric vehicles.
Everything else I read seems to point to really good Q1 for EV sales worldwide.
LOL just read an article that GM 1st qtr EV sales “exploded” to 15,096. Most are made in Mexico

Yeah, not huge volume numbers yet, but key understanding is that was 94% increase over same quarter last year for them.
I’m curious for GM do they get to count everything built on their EV frame? Like the prologue and Acura are built on the same frame as the Blazer and Lyriq.
