i hope durant came to the rockets for the money, he is not getting another ring with the rockets if an middle age lebron and whoever is on the laker bench can sweep them, which sure seems likely.
its going to be a long, long time before the rockets have a chance at being a real playoff threat again with the young studs in dallas and san antonio alone.
Durant ain’t even playing in the damn series we brought him in specifically to play in…

Udoka showing full leadership and accountability
The Spurs handled the Trailblazers120-108 to go up 2-1 in the series. Can’t believe the Rockets picked Sheppard ahead of Castle. Fox, Castle & Harper give the Spurs a pretty dynamic backcourt. Their three core players are 20, 21, and 22 years old. The Rockets might be looking up at the Spurs for a while again.

I’ll agree on leadership, but I don’t see much accountability being taken by the coach in those quotes. He basically said that the players have to be better, which is 100% true. It’s also his job to make sure they do that.

I pin the loss on Jabari Smith or whoever decided he needed to bring the ball down the court with a 6-point lead with under a minute to go in the game. His youth and inexperience bit them in the ass, similar to what happened to UH vs. Illinois in the first 15 minutes of that game. Udoka was spot on, I guess that’s the difference in a pro head coach and a college head coach. You can be more forthright with 22-year-old pros than you can with 18/19-year-old college one-and-done players

Sheppards a statue. If he ain’t hitting 3’s basically brings nothing. Durant needs to suck it up. Spurs are the prototypical winning franchise, Rockets… not so much.
you cant keep that coach. rockets may be playing without their starting point but they had all season to develop into more than hoping durant wins the game for them; they were chickens with their heads cut off with lebron and backups; that’s on the coach; you gotta make a change; coaching is what he cannot do.
