Negative Nanny’s

Sfa at tech. Much better showing. Not good.

You never know who’s really good in college football until about six or seven games in.

I agree that we could have just had a bad half against Tech. Maybe the luck of the draw was it happened early. I have my doubts but I’m willing to wait it out and see. Very blessed to see Clayton have a great game.

Against Rice! A win is a win, but stop with the excessive chest beating when you beat a bottom feeder! I’m happy with the win, but this win doesn’t prove anything in regard to our QB situation.

I don’t know how much more we could have dominated that game. That blocked punt attempt was an absolute classic. How did they put 18 on Arkansas?

Texas plays Rice next week so we will see what the score ends up

That theory always gets dispelled. But I like it when it makes us look good.

Of course they will be because we didn’t beat Alabama, Michigan, ND, ut, a$m, Ohio State, USC, and Clemson… all in the same season !!

Yes, because that is what big12 teams do… see last year !

Woof, I am currently convinced DH needs to go, but even I wouldn’t hold him to that standard.

Part of the reason is he has been great in the first half of games and has put together a good defense and defensive staff. If he ever looked like he figured out second halves we might actually go 13-1, but if we lost to Tulane, Smu, and Memphis. going 8-4 it would show he is at least competent and headed in the right direction. Unless those three more losses were all curb stompings of the Coogs or if every single win was by 3 points.

Ut will run up the score if possible as they are already under immense pressure.

Their coach may start drinking again !

Arkansas gave up 17 to Rice and scored 38, UA trailed early and had to score 21 in the 4th to avoid an upset. UA beat UT 40-21 and never trailed in the game. Based on past performances, one might think that Rice could hold it close against Texas. That being said, I predict UT will beat Rice by 35 points.

we did blow out rice, we played at multiple speeds, quick during the first half even no huddle and then a slower methodical pace in the second half to burn clock…very smart coaching this game and impressed that we can vary the speed of the offense and control the game….

I have always wondered why Holgi never used the hurry-up offense until the Rice game and why he didn’t be more creative on offense in the Tech game and use Alton McCaskill as a runner until Rice. Instead of going all out against Tech he did it against Rice, which makes little sense.

I agree people are being a little too negative after a 44-7 win. The goal is to just keep racking up wins no matter who we play. Because at the end of the day, nobody remembers who you play. Smu went 10-3 with only 1 win Vs a team with a winning record. Yet nobody cares lol. The recruits sure don’t as we can see. But the logic of “why would a recruit come here” because fans aren’t jumping for joy after beating rice is just silly. Recruits don’t give a damn about a message boards :joy::joy:. I promise you none of our players, coach’s, AD, or recruits care about what we are talking about on this board

Exactly! If UT recruits read the UT fan forums, they all would decommit.

Nobody remembers who you play? That’s been hung on UH more than a few times. And ask UCF if they were free from that issue?

A lot of the players both past and present think the takes on here are comical. I assure you that most of em arent concerned about what’s discussed on here.

McCaskill had the 2nd most RB carries vs Tech, 4 for 5 yards. He also had a catch for 0 yards. As poor as Car’s stats were vs Tech, they were better than McCaskill’s

That’s when people are talking about national championship aspirations lol. We aren’t anywhere near that conversation. When they talk about getting into the CFP, they care who you play. But the general public doesn’t care at all, and even a lot of analysts and recruits don’t. As long as you keep racking up wins. All we hear is how good of a program smu is now and how they have completely turned things around. But if you look at their schedule, they have only beaten like 2 good teams out of their 19 wins the last 3 years. And now everyone calls them a great program and they get great recruits lol. When the dust settles, at the end of the year, they don’t remember who you play, just how much you won
