New co-defensive coordinator/secondary coach @CoachJ4_UT was previously at @UHCougarFB as safeties coach in 2005-06.

Marcus Tubbs: Assistant Director of Football Operations
@Tubbs_FB joins @UHCougarFB after spending last 8 seasons with @Longhorn_FB, last 4 as asst. AD for football ops. Former NFL first rounder.

Jennings looks like a very very impressive hire. And Blum is intriguing and widens a great pipeline.

If Jennings is CO-DC, where does that leave Orlando?

Must have been Tubbs at the basketball game last night sitting with Hunter and visiting with Jeremiah. One large human.

CMA played and served as a GA at UT while Tubbs was playing.

Looks like defense is getting a lot of love. It seems a bit strange to hire all these coaches without a DC, or did I miss something? It’s the Season and don’t have time to follow UH stuff as much as I would like.

Doubt they announce/make these hires if the DC isnt already a done deal but on the down low for now.

If no LB coached announced soon, he could on staff w/new DC with a big game(s) left to play.

Saw this from 2014 on Blum.
“Editor’s Note: Coach Blum is in his 6th season at Westfield High School (09-present) as the Co-Defensive Coordinator, Defensive Tackles and Off Season Coordinator. Prior to Westfield, he was the Defensive Line Coach/Off Season Coordinator at Klein Forest High School (04-08). Blum started my Texas High School coaching career at Livingston High School as the Varsity Linebackers Coach (03). He has been part of a playoff qualifying team (05), Area-round qualifier (06, 07, 08, 09), Regional Qualifier (11), and Regional Quarter Finalist (12, 13). During his 12 years of coaching, Blum has been blessed to coach 3 High School All Americans, 3 Greater Houston Touchdown Club Player of the Year finalists, 5 All State Football players, 6 District Defensive MVP’s, numerous All-district football players and 27 young men who have gone onto the collegiate level to play.”
